PetroGreen Energy Corp (PGEC) broke ground last September 27 for the 27-megawatt (MW) solar farm in the town of Dagohoy. This solar farm will be the first ever in the province of Bohol. This project is a good thing because this is a good step towards a greener Bohol!
This project will provide job opportunities and a stable power supply for the town of Dagohoy. Hopefully, there will be no hitches in the construction of this power supply. We cannot stress enough how beneficial this project is for the environment and people. Alternative environmental-friendly power generators should be the new norm. Still, it is not that easy because it costs a lot of money to set up and build, especially if it is to replace the current power suppliers we use now. However, it will pay off in the long run. Which will you choose? Environment or power-economic development? Why not both?
Kudos to the provincial government of Bohol and to PGEC for cooperating to ensure that Bohol gets their ever first solar farm. We hope more environmental-friendly projects will land on our shores to promote our eco-tourism further. To a healthier Bohol! (MIDB)
