City General Services Office receives award

The energy audit rating of the General Services Office as assessed by the representatives from the Department of Science and Technology – Industrial Technology Development Institute (DOST-ITDI), Department of Energy. Tagbilaran City received a 5-star rating in the implementation of the Government Energy Management Program.

LGU Tagbilaran receives a 5-star rating in the implementation of the Government Energy Management Program (GEMP) in accordance with the implementation of Republic Act 11285 or the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act of 2019.  Mayor Jane Yap together with Chief of Staff Baba Yap and City General Services Office Head Dr. Chris John Torralba received the Energy Audit Rating from the team of assessors composed of representatives from the Department of Science and Technology – Industrial Technology Development Institute (DOST-ITDI), Department of Energy (DOE), and Department of Science and Technology Region VII which conducted a one-day assessment of the City Hall Building.

Out of a total score of 100, Tagbilaran City received 98 which is equivalent to a 5 Star Rating and Grade A.

LGU Tagbilaran is among the top 10 out of the 65 cities and municipalities audited throughout the country. 

Kudos to the team led by the City General Services Office for preparing all the documentary requirements with the assistance of the City Engineer’s Office and City Planning and Development Office. The GSO also thanked all City Hall government departments and offices for complying with the city government’s fuel and electric saving measures and policies. (Jeanette Busano)
