Face-to-face classes should have started this week or will start next week. We will not discuss about the laws regarding the legality of these classes, but rather about the preparedness of the institutions affected by these classes amidst health concerns. Are they truly prepared to conduct face-to-face classes while combating the continued spread of COVID-19?
The youth is considered by many as the future of our nation, so it is of great importance to make sure none of them get sick! We know that many requirements are needed to be met to conduct face-to-face classes. However, we cannot feign ignorance that sometimes shortcuts are taken. We do hope none of these bad practices were done here! Talk about setting a bad example for our youth!
Out of curiosity, what is the difference between face-to-face classes and modular or online classes? Aside from the glaringly obvious example which is to meet personally, we learn from both, and we get exams from both. The latter situation is safer and financially-sound for students and their families, in our own observations. The former, on the other hand, is more productive and interactive since teachers and students can interact more. We have no qualms with both as long as the essence of studying remains intact while keeping in mind the health of the students. (MIDB)
