Congratulations, Governor!

WHO has the ambition to get rich in so short a time?

And, who has the greed to become a millionaire at the expense of others?

Then, go to Virgin Island just within the vicinity of Balicasag Island of the Municipality of Panglao in our province.

This is Short Cuts advice.

And then engage in an eatery business! You are assured of getting rich within a day!

As reported over television sets last week, foreign tourists paid over P26,000.00 for a meal! Then, over P1,000.00 was paid for a single seafood item!

Additional information reveals that three sticks of a banana barbeque with only one and a half pieces of ripe banana on it costs P100.00.

With that data alone who could one not being guaranteed of getting rich?

This is further worsened by the fact that when they bought the banana item from the banana farmer, the cost was very much lower!

So, kinsa may lo-uy. Di ba ang farmer?  Ug, kinsa may nadato? Diba ang negosyante?

Therefore, the farmer remains poor and the trader/businessman getting richer.

This scenario, to Short Cuts, demands for an intervention from our government, be it national or local.

However, if what Short Cuts heard is true, then he congratulates the provincial governor for having flexed his arms on this modern bentahuso. Accordingly, Governor Aris had to stop the operation at the Virgin Island because of this issue.

For that, Congratulations, Governor for a job well done!

The above-mentioned issue will not only drive foreign tourists from this island province.

Definitely, domestic tourists are also affected!

For how could an ordinary Boholano ever visit and witness this beautiful and majestic Virgin Island, although within the province, with such cost of commodities! This deprives the Boholanos from seeing the best in his own province.

And, here comes another issue that Short Cuts truly believes to be worthy to be discussed.

How true is the information that Short Cuts had been hearing that a certain Hotel and Resort in LGU Panglao is charging P100,000.00 to occupants per room?

Whether it is true or not, to Short Cuts the rate is really unbelievable!

And, to say the least very unreasonable!

To be true, Short Cuts never had a chance of visiting tourist destinations since his childhood, even in his own province.  He is too ignorant on this issue.

But, taking for granted that the information is true, these queries could be aptly asked:

What are the things found in that room that calls for a high rate of charge?

Can government not intervene in that type of business if only to make this facility affordable and readily available even to the middle-income Boholanos?

Any feedback on these queries days from now, Mr. Government?
