THE day was filled with colors and gratitude as the Pilipinas Shell Foundation Incorporated (PSFI) culminated its outreach to Tagbilaran City. The PSFI mission is to empower communities in environmental protection; health; arts, and livelihood.
Berlie Reyes of KALIPI (Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina) Tagbilaran Chapter received Php200,000 financial assistance as capital infusion to its plastic upcycling project. While City Environment and Natural Resources Officer (CENRO) Ceasar Pelaez extended its gratitude to the project for the Material Recovery Facilities given to the 15 barangays coupled with a bio-composting training.
Pelaez also recognized the PSFI for spearheading the mangrove planting along the shores of Brgy. Taloto.
“The assistance offered by the Pilipinas Shell Foundation Incorporated really came at a better time. The programs implemented under their initiative proved to be crucial in revitalizing the environmental resources in the city. We will be forever grateful to the assistance extended by the Pilipinas Shell Foundation to Tagbilaran City. Aside from elevating our environmental consciousness, their assistance provided concrete interventions that addressed our environmental problems. We thank you for the fruitful partnership and we are looking forward to working with you again,” Pelaez emphasized.
Mayor Jane Yap on one hand complimented PSFI theme, “Moving Further,” saying that Tagbilaran City’s very own #AsensoPaMore also echoes the same spirit of maximizing one’s potential and striving above and beyond. (Jeanette Busano)
