Aris camp bares plan for inauguration

AUMENTADO

AN official of Governor-elect Erico Aristotle “Aris” C. Aumentado’s Inauguration Committee has revealed that preparations for the activities of the upcoming Inauguration Day are still running as planned.

Mr. Metodio “John” Maraguinot Jr., chairman of the said committee, said in an interview that the swearing-in of Aumentado and other elected provincial officials will be held at the Bohol Cultural Center in Tagbilaran City this coming June 30, 2022, a date provided by law. The theme for this year’s inaugural will be “Abante Bohol: Limpyong Panggobyerno, Kalamboan sa Tanang Bol-anon” (Forward Bohol: Clean Government, Development for All Boholanos).

He also spoke about the different events that will be conducted on the said date. First on the list is the Inaugural Mass at 7:15 in the morning at the St. Joseph the Worker Cathedral-Parish in the capital city. Bishop Alberto Uy will be the main celebrant, with Fr. Efren Bongay and Fr. Adonis Hubac as concelebrants.

The Swearing-in Ceremony will then be held from 10:00 to 11:30 A.M., to be followed by an Inaugural Luncheon. The event will be by invitation only due to limited space and the restriction under COVID-19 health protocol. It will be streamed online through social media.

After the luncheon, Aumentado, together with Vice Governor-elect Dionisio Victor Balite, Provincial Administrator-designate Asteria Caberte, and the newly-elected Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) members will lead the Wreath-Laying Ceremony at the CPG Monument in front of the New Provincial Capitol.

The signing of executive issuance will then follow in the Governor’s Office, where a media briefing is scheduled to take place.

Aumentado and Balite will then host the Abante Bohol Business Dialogue in Modala Beach Resort in Panglao, in which business personalities from Bohol and across the country are scheduled to attend.

Advisories regarding the inauguration will be issued on a regular basis leading up to June 30.

Maraguinot emphasized that this will be a people’s inauguration and that Boholanos will be at the forefront of all organizing.

“Through the inaugural activities, we hope to begin our unified step forward, driven by our collective desires and aspirations to remove corruption, instill good governance, and put the welfare of Boholanos first,” he commented. (PR/jja)
