BOHOL puts employee health within reach as the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh), through the Provincial Health Office (PHO), rolls out free blood sugar testing for Capitol employees from September 9 to 30, 2026.
The initiative gives employees a convenient opportunity to monitor their blood sugar levels without leaving the workplace, reinforcing the provincial government’s continuing efforts to promote preventive health care and employee well-being.
The free testing is available from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Provincial Capitol Lobby near the Public Assistance and Complaints Desk (PACD).
No fasting is required, allowing employees to have their blood sugar checked conveniently during office hours.
During the opening of the activity, Medical Technologists Denielle Louise Sales, RMT, and Samantha Nicole Garsuta, RMT, performed the blood sugar testing and assisted employees who availed themselves of the service.
A total of 124 Capitol employees have already benefited from the activity, demonstrating strong participation in the province’s workplace health initiative.
A special schedule will also be held on September 15 at the Ceremonial Hall, 4th Floor, Provincial Capitol, allowing more employees to avail themselves of the service.
Under the leadership of Gov. Aris Aumentado, the activity forms part of the PGBh’s commitment to making essential health services accessible to its workforce and encouraging employees to take a more proactive role in caring for their health.
Anchored on the Capitol’s Strategic Governance Roadmap, the initiative underscores that effective governance is strengthened by a workforce that is healthy, supported, and ready to serve.
