THE Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh), under the leadership of Gov. Aris Aumentado, has begun preparations for the observance of Civil Service Month this September.
To kick off preparations, the Provincial Human Resource Management and Development Office (PHRMDO) convened a coordination meeting on August 13, 2026, at the Gender and Development Resource Center Office.
PHRMDO Officer-in-Charge Katrina Maria Retutal led the meeting, bringing together representatives from various department clusters to coordinate plans, define responsibilities, and ensure the smooth implementation of the scheduled activities.
Among the activities lined up were the Family Day celebration, the Miss PGBh pageant, the Battle of the Bands, basketball and pickleball tournaments, and e-sports competitions.
The activities aim to strengthen camaraderie, encourage teamwork, and promote employee wellness.
Additionally, the month-long program features free medical and dental consultations to directly support the physical health, wellness, and well-being of all Capitol employees.
To make government services more accessible, participating national government agencies will set up a one-stop shop for employees during the celebration.
Furthermore, the Capitol Paw Day will deliver free spay, neuter, and anti-rabies vaccination services for employee pets to foster animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.
In line with the observance of International Coastal Cleanup Day, the provincial government will conduct a coastal cleanup activity to encourage environmental stewardship and community participation.
Civil Service Month serves as a key opportunity to honor public servants in nation-building while continuously cultivating operational excellence and unity throughout public service.
Ultimately, this celebration directly aligns with the Strategic Governance Roadmap 2028 of the PGBh, emphasizing the development of a competent, empowered, and service-oriented workforce.
