1,980 Boholano students receive financial support SPES ASSISTANCE

A TOTAL OF 1,980 students from various municipalities across Bohol have received financial assistance through the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES).

The distribution of assistance and the closing ceremony were held at the Bohol Cultural Center on Wednesday, August 5.

The event was spearheaded by the Provincial Government of Bohol under the leadership of Governor Aris Aumentado, through the Bohol Employment and Placement Office–Public Employment Service Office (BEPO-PESO), in close partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office VII (DOLE-7).

The SPES provides valuable support to young people by giving them the opportunity to work during their school break.

The income they earn helps cover tuition fees, purchase school supplies, and pay for other educational expenses, enabling them to continue their studies without the added burden of financial constraints.

The program reflects the government’s commitment to supporting the youth and ensuring that financial hardship does not become a barrier to achieving their educational aspirations. (RTB)
