HUNDREDS of runners from across Bohol and neighboring provinces are expected to converge at the Tagbilaran City Hall Grounds on June 28, 2026 for the highly anticipated Saulog TagbilaRUN V2.0, a citywide fun run promoting fitness and wellness.
Organized by the City Government of Tagbilaran as part of the annual Saulog Festival celebration, the event will feature three race categories designed to accommodate runners of varying abilities: the 3-kilometer Fun Run, 8-kilometer Challenge Run, and 16-kilometer Endurance Run.
City officials said the event seeks to encourage healthier lifestyles while fostering camaraderie among participants through sports and recreation.
Mayor Jane Yap described the activity as part of the city’s continuing efforts to promote wellness and strengthen community participation through inclusive and family-friendly programs.
“Saulog TagbilaRUN has become more than just a sporting event.
It is a celebration of community spirit and a reminder of the importance of maintaining healthy and active lifestyles,” Yap said.
The mayor noted that initiatives promoting physical fitness contribute to the overall well-being of residents and support the city’s vision of creating a more livable and people-centered urban environment.
“We are inviting everyone—from seasoned runners to first-time participants—to join us in this meaningful activity.
Through events like this, we bring people together, encourage healthy habits, and celebrate the energy and resilience of the Tagbilaranon community,” she added.
Organizers are currently finalizing registration details, with the official registration link and other details set to be released through the Tagbilaran City Government official Facebook page in the coming days.
