The project was implemented under the city’s Barangay-Based Development Project, which aims to strengthen barangay governance and improve frontline service delivery.

Congressman John Geesnell “Baba” Yap, who represented Mayor Jane Yap during the turnover, delivered a message emphasizing the city government’s continuing commitment to barangay empowerment.

He underscored that providing adequate facilities and service vehicles at the barangay level is essential to ensuring faster response to community needs, especially during emergencies and calamities.
