Tagbilaran City’s economic boom continues
with new establishments opening doors

TAGBILARAN City continues to gain strong economic momentum as several new businesses formally opened this December, reflecting growing investor confidence and creating more jobs and opportunities for Tagbilaranons and Boholanos.

Leading the list of newly opened establishments is IBEX Cyber City, which inaugurated its third site in Tagbilaran City along Rajah Sikatuna Avenue.

The expansion of the global business process outsourcing company is expected to generate additional employment and further strengthen the city’s role as an emerging BPO hub in the province.

Also opening this month was Strange Brew, which held its ribbon-cutting ceremony at CPG North Avenue, corner Lino Chatto Drive, Barangay Cogon, adding to the city’s growing food and beverage industry.

In the healthcare retail sector, Three Sixty Pharmacy – Mansasa formally opened along CPG East Avenue, Barangay Mansasa, directly in front of ACE Medical Center, enhancing access to essential medicines and health products for nearby communities.

The local food industry likewise expanded with the ribbon cutting and grand opening of Chicken G, located along CPG East Avenue, Barangay Poblacion 1, followed by the opening of Papa G’s Chicken & Ribs at the Roofdeck Food Park, Ruberen Complex, Barangay Mansasa.

The ribbon-cutting ceremonies were attended by Congressman Baba Yap, former City Councilor Ondoy Borja, and Ms. Fiel Angelie Gabin of the City Mayor’s Office, who represented City Mayor Jane Yap during the various inaugurations.

Mayor Yap welcomed the entry of the new businesses, describing them as vital partners in the city’s continued development.

“The opening of these establishments signifies the confidence of investors in Tagbilaran City. We remain committed to fostering a business-friendly environment that creates jobs, supports local entrepreneurs, and drives inclusive economic growth for our people,” the mayor said.

City officials emphasized that the growing number of new enterprises contributes to employment generation, increased economic activity, and improved services for residents, reinforcing Tagbilaran City’s position as a dynamic and progressive urban center in the province.
