THE Bohol Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, approved a measure to update water analysis rates of the Provincial Health Office.
Provincial Ordinance No. 2025-038, authored and sponsored by Board Member Nathaniel Binlod, amended the province’s revenue code, specifically on water analysis fees.
Binlod had earlier explained that a revamp of fees is overdue, as there have been no adjustments in the past 28 years despite changes in technology, labor requirements, standards of testing, and the increasing cost of maintaining laboratory operations.
“The adjustment is intended to sustain the quality and the availability of water testing services, ensure that the equipment is properly maintained and calibrated, and uphold the health and safety standards required of laboratory operations, all while keeping it free, reasonable, and accessible to the public,” Binlod, in his sponsorship speech, stated.
