
THE Governance and Achievement Recognition for Basic Education Officials (GARBO) 2025 of the Ubay II District is conceptualized to recognize and honor the exemplary performance, dedication, and commitment of school leaders, teachers, and education stakeholders who have significantly contributed to the effective delivery of basic education.
Quality education is achieved through strong governance, collaborative leadership, and sustained excellence in school management and instruction. GARBO serves as a platform to acknowledge outstanding achievements in instructional leadership, school governance, learner development, stakeholder partnership, and innovative practices that support the goals of the Department of Education.
This recognition program aims to inspire continuous improvement, strengthen accountability, and promote a culture of excellence among education officials and personnel. By highlighting best practices and notable accomplishments, GARBO encourages replication of effective strategies that enhance teaching–learning processes and improve learners’ outcomes across the district.
Furthermore, GARBO 2025 reinforces unity and shared responsibility among education leaders and stakeholders in advancing the district’s vision of accessible, inclusive, and quality basic education. Through this initiative, the Ubay II District affirms its commitment to valuing people, celebrating success, and sustaining good governance in the education sector.
Ubay 2 District with the leadership of PSDS Atty Bethuel 1V.Nunez PhD and CESP Josephine S. Boyboy PhD, conducted their GARBO sa Ubay 2, with the theme, “Dedication to Service: Shaping Minds, Building Future”, at Parklane Bohol Resort, Anda, Bohol, on December 13, 2025. The said activity provided an avenue to hold their Christmas Program and Honoring of a lone retiree, Mrs. Imelda Tandugon, an Elementary School Teacher from Cagting Elementary School, Ubay, II District. There was also a recognition of performing teachers and school heads in the different key result areas, programs, projects, and activities. SB Member Glaiza Mae Sayson Atuel, graced the occasion, where thirty teachers received prizes. One of the highlights was the raffle draw where all the school leaders prepares five (5) gifts to be given to the lucky attendees of the said GARBO sa Ubay 2-2025).
