Tagbilaran to participate in Sinulog 2026 Grand Parade

TAGBILARAN City will participate as one of the competing out-of-town contingents in the upcoming Sinulog 2026, which will be held next month.

It is among the 38 contingents that will grace the grand parade in Cebu City.

In the breakdown of the contingents, 13 are out-of-town (including Tagbilaran City), 16 are from Cebu City, and 9 are from the province of Cebu.

Two special guests will also participate: the Masskara performers from Bacolod City and the group from Danao City, where Gov. Pam Baricuatro is scheduled to dance.

The competing contingents from Cebu City include Lumad Basakanon, Basak Pardo, Barrio Luz, Guadalupe, Banilad, Mabolo, San Nicolas Proper (two contingents), Inayawan, San Roque, Tejero, Kasambagan, Babag, Labangon, Talamban, and UP Cebu.

From the province of Cebu, Toledo City, Carcar City, Mandaue City, and the municipalities of Alcoy, Carmen, Dumanjug, Moalboal, and Asturias will participate.

Meanwhile, the out-of-town contingents, including those from Cotabato; three from Zamboanga City; Zamboanga Sibugay; Bais City; Albay; Antipolo City; Muntinlupa; Davao Occidental; Tagbilaran City; and Las Piñas City.

Alexis Cadelina, the Tagbilaran City Events, Culture and Arts Office (CECAO) confirmed to this paper that Tagbilaran City will participate in Sinulog 2026 and the contingent will be from barangay Ubujan. (RTB)
