PLO Lagunay Bohol rep at PH-ETD 2

GOVERNOR Aris Aumentado has selected Provincial Legal Officer Atty. Handel Lagunay to represent him at the Philippine Energy Transition Dialogue 2025 (PH-ETD 2), which began December 3 to December 4, at the Novotel Manila in Araneta, Quezon City.

The two-day event was organized by Clean, Affordable, and Secure Energy for Southeast Asia (CASE) and brought together various national and local government agencies, electric cooperatives, renewable energy developers, and civil society organizations to accelerate the country’s transition to a peaceful, stable, and efficient renewable energy system.

Atty. Lagunay is expected to present best practices from the Province of Bohol, especially its collaborative initiatives in energy transition.

He will also discuss the role of empowering cooperatives and LGUs in competitive renewable energy procurement—an approach adopted in Bohol through the Bohol Renewable Energy Board (BREB), which is known to be one of the first initiatives of its kind nationwide.

Through the province’s participation in PH-ETD 2, Bohol has demonstrated its continued determination to become a model in the pursuit of cleaner, more affordable, and more reliable energy for communities. (RTB)
