UBAY Central Elementary School took the lead in continuing the different programs and projects of the school, being one of the pilot implementers during STRIVE Project. The other systems in place: School-Based Management (SBM), Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), Learning Resource and Management Development System (LRMDS), and Project Management.
On March 16, 2011, Ubay Central Elementary School had satisfactorily met the criteria set forth under the Accreditation Program for Public Elementary School (APPES) and was awarded the Level 1 Accreditation. It has become a member of the Philippine Society of the Youth Science Club. The school has different programs to cater to diverse learners in the community. It offers Special Science Elementary School (SSES), Special Education Class (SPED), ALIVE for Muslim Learners and Alternative Learning System (ALS).
It implemented different projects such as the Improvement of Perimeter Fence amounting to 230,000.00 and School Beautification amounting to 500,000.00. It has also received donations from various NGO partners such as the World Vision w, which provides Risograph, the Nonki Foundation, which provides bags for the learners, and the KOICA, which provides one fully furnished classroom and different materials for the SPED Class.
It also participates in the different activities for the total development of young boys and girls, such as Scouting, Meet competitions, and various Co-Curricular Activities. Presence of recycled items from paper wastes or discarded office materials with the procedure in making it, displayed beside the item and company of system/procedures to reduce trash time element and efficiency for the processing of documents.
Every year learners, teachers, and even other stakeholders never fail to participate in curricular and co-curricular activities for the motivation and support provided to the entire school populace. Presence of MOA and instrument with the recipient/s on the transfer/disposal of office unneeded however usable items/materials to prove the existence of a partnership. No irrelevant reference materials and other documents are found or included in the file or any area inside the office. No leftover pieces of equipment and furniture are stored inside the office.
No unneeded items and outdated documents are found in the storage area. Desks and cabinets are free from accumulations of discarded papers and other objects. All tools/ equipment is stored in a fixed place and well organized for cause, take, and return. Labeling cabinets, shelves, and files allow immediate identification—of the Record files documents.
Retention Guidelines.
Office displays such as bulletin boards and posters bearing the flow of transaction and documentary requirements are tidy, free of clutter, labeled, and up to date. Safety equipment is easily assessable and in good condition. The floor is clean, and no signs of damage. The walls and ceilings are excellent and free from dirt and dust.
Ubay 1 District, where Ubay Central Elementary School was located, produced the First Most Outstanding Public Schools District Supervisor during the 2013 PASIDUNGOG, in Bohol Division, due to strong support and collaboration from the internal and external stakeholders.
