
FOR the second consecutive year, the BIT International College – College of Law has proudly emerged as a Quarter Finalist in the 5th University of Cebu–Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (UC–KAS) International Environmental Law Moot Court Competition, held on October 20–22, 2025, at the University of Cebu–Banilad Campus and Radisson Blu Hotel, Cebu City.
BIT IC College of Law once again brought pride not only to the institution but also to the entire province of Bohol, being the only Bohol-based law school to advance to the Quarter Finals.
The Quarter Finalist Team was composed of Khem N. Alvarez and Ana Flor D. Bolos (Oralists), Jay Mark R. Alambatin and Jenifer C. Alcain (Researchers), and Jerwin C. Opalla (Observer). The team achieved an impressive Top 6 ranking out of 27 participating law schools across the Philippines, as well as entries from Cambodia and Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Team 2 made an inspiring debut in this year’s competition, represented by Geraldine B. Topsnik and Maico P. Mapula (Oralists), Lesly Jade S. Paglinawan and Arlene P. Ybañez (Researchers), and Rowell G. Olaivar (Observer).
Both teams were ably guided by Atty. Marein Assumpta E. Makinano and Atty. Hannah Dorothy Dionne R. Balite-Anino, with the unwavering support of Assistant Dean Glenn Rey D. Anino.
This year’s competition reflected the steady growth of the BIT IC College of Law, showing its students can engage meaningfully alongside some of the country’s and the region’s best.
