BOHECO 1 nagpabiling ‘steady’
POWER RATES

“This achievement highlights BOHECO I’s fiscal discipline, prudent supply contracting, and commitment to protecting its member-consumer-owners (MCOs)” suma pa sa giluwatang pamahayag.

Giklaro usab nila nga dunay gamay nga pagsaka sa residential billing rate karong buwana nga P10.4431/kWh. Nisaka kini og P0.1851 gikan sa Hunyo.

Kini gumikan sa mas dako nga Generation ug Transmission Charges nga puros ‘pass-through costs’.

“According to a recent advisory from NGCP, the jump in transmission charges was largely caused by increased costs for Ancillary Services (AS). These “emergency responders” of the national grid, such as reserves and voltage control systems, help stabilize supply during unexpected demand spikes or outages. NGCP pays generators to stay on standby, and these expenses are passed on to consumers nationwide, including those in Bohol, even when local demand remains stable,” dugang pa nila.

“While we can’t control market volatility, we can ensure every decision we make is grounded in transparency, efficiency, and full regulatory compliance,” pamahayag pa ni BOHECO I General Manager Engr. Dino Nicolas T. Roxas.

“Every centavo is accounted for, and every kilowatt-hour is delivered with our MCOs in mind.”

“BOHECO I’s consistent performance so far this year is more than a statistic; it’s a reflection of the values that power every decision it makes. The electric cooperative has stood firm in its commitment to deliver safe, quality, reliable and fair electricity to every MCO it serves, regardless of distance, terrain, or demand—even in the face of rising power costs driven by higher AS charges.”

“We’re not just delivering power. We’re delivering peace of mind,” dugang pa ni GM Roxas.

“BOHECO I encourages all MCOs to remain informed and engaged, because in an ever-evolving energy landscape, awareness is power—and power, when understood, is protection.” (Kahlil Lester O. Camba)
