Congw Aumentado: ‘Sash commitment to advocacy’

“SASH is not just a symbol, but a commitment to advocacy,” Congresswoman Vanessa C. Aumentado (2nd district) stressed during the sashing program of the 14 hopefuls for Miss Bohol 2025 at the Capitol on Friday.

Aumentado, chair of the Miss Bohol pageantry, was ably assisted by her co-chairperson, Loinda Saluan during the said activity attended by the handlers, media personalities and visitors.

She also told the candidates in her short but meaningful message, “Do wear sash with integrity and make a difference.”

Aumentado, who was once a beauty titlist herself representing Duero town 24 years back, shared her joy and experience “with so much pride” with the candidates. She said she gained friendship to grow with from her colleagues back then.

Katherine Bernido Topsnik, 22, Guindulman; Cynchi Marie N. Selpa, 24, Jagna; Princess Melyn Joy M. Asa, 19, Mabini; Kimberly Grace Lastimosa Giroud, 24, Panglao; and Mary Love Lopez, 22, Tagbilaran City.

Rose P. Cabando, 22, Talibon (former Miss BBDN); Claire Anne F. Radoc, 23, Tubigon; Kayla Mariz Abraham Ungay, 20, Ubay; and Mary Ingrid Orevillo, 18, Valencia, Bohol.

The Bohol Media have chosen the top three bets for Darling of the Press. They’re candidates from Dauis, Tagbilaran City and Gindulman. The winner is expected to be announced during the coronation night.

The Miss Bohol is always part of the Sandugo celebration every year. The coronation of the winner will be on July 19, while the Boholana, a fashion show with the candidates wearing/showcasing the designers best in Inabanga on July 5. (rvo)
