Aris reverses survey result in his favor : FOR THE WIN!

CONG. Aris Aumentado came back with a vengeance when he reversed the earlier poll opinion result in his favor, garnering 54% of the voters in Bohol against his archrival incumbent Gov. Arthur C. Yap, who got 41% in the gubernatorial race in May 9, 2022.

“If the elections took place during the survey period, Aris Aumentado (54%) would win against Arthur Yap (41%), Concepcion Flores (1%) and Hercules Castillo (0) given the a margin of +/-5 for Bohol,” Bohol Poll said in its presentation on Friday (May 6, 2022) or three days before election day.

In April 8, 2022 Bohol Poll public presentation, Aumentado got 43% against Yap’s 54% of the registered voters in the province.

The latest Bohol Poll pre-election round was conducted on April 10-29, 2022, according to Center for Research and Publications of the holy Name University.

In the vice-gubernatorial race, incumbent Vice-Gov. Rene Relampagos (51%) and challenger senior Board Member Dionisio Victor Balite (42%) are statistically tied.

In the Feb.28-March 21 survey, Relampagos significantly got 72% leaving Balite with only 26%.

In the congressional race in first district, Edgardo Chatto would likely to win with 70% (from 87%) of the voters. His challengers Mrybelle “Binggay” dela Serna got 10% (from6%) and Fabio Ontong, Jr. 9% (from3%). Those who refused were 11% (from 4%).

In second district, Aris’ wife Vanvan Aumentado also reverses the Feb.28-March21 result. She posted 52% (from 39) against her closest contender, Jaja Jumamoy with 37% (from46%).

Other contenders former Board Member Gerry Garcia, father of incumbent BM Frans Garcia-Devenosa, posted  9% (from 11%); Auza, 0 (from 1%); and Melencion, 0%.

Incumbent Congresswoman Kristine Alexie B. Tutor would win with a commanding lead of 72% (from 82%) in 3rd congressional race if the elections were held during the survey period.

Her challengers Valencia Mayor Katrina “katkat” Lim got 23% (from 18%) and Cadorniga, 3% (from 0%).

Based on said survey, Partylists who made it to the top ten are the following: Ako BisDak got 36.9% of the votes and a distant second is Diwa and third KOOP-KAMPI with 10.8% and 6.1%, respectively.

Partylist Agimat, 4.7%; AP, 4.1%; ACT CIS, 3.4%; Malasakit, 3.1%; Kalinga, 2.8; 1-CARE, 2.3; and Manila Teachers, 2.1%. (rvo)
