Mass actions in Bohol towns a tribute to PRRD’s 80th birthday

THE sporadic rain that drenched the roads in Tagbilarn City did not dampen the spirits of the avid supporters of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte (PRRD) in celebrating his 80th birthday, March 28 in mass actions dubbed inter-faith prayer rallies.

People from all walks in life started to gather around at past 5 in the afternoon until past 9 in the evening as the Maisug movement and HUBAD organization, responsible of the gathering at Plaza Rizal.

Similar peaceful inter-faith prayer rallies were also held in Jagna, Talibon, Panglao, Alicia, Tubigon and other places with over a thousand in attendance, report reaching this writer said.

Earlier of the day, six points of assembly area in the entire province were cited by the organizers to conduct a motor caravan.

In Loay, the caravan started at past 2 in the afternoon to its assembly rea at town proper even if it was raining along the way.

In Bilar town, the rallyists wearing T-shirts with print “Bring Him Home,” “We are not Filipinos for Nothing” held the mass action inside the municipal covered court in the evening.

The prayer-rallies was intended to express disgust over how PRRD was arrested and kidnapped. PRRD faces a charge of crimes against humanity over his deadly war on drugs at the Hague, Netherlands.

At exactly 8 p.m., the supporters sang a birthday song for him.
