CONGRESSWOMAN Alexie B. Tutor (Bohol, 3rd district) slammed the act or sort of surveillance of her homes in the city and Candijay town by her political detractors as the electoral exercises are nearing in May 12.
“Invading Our Personal Space All for the love of DESTROYING A PERSON FOR POLITICAL GAIN,” Tutor pointed out in her fb post.
She said that a drone was flown just above their house in Tagbilaran City a week ago and another (drone) hovering over their Candijay’s abode just last Sunday.
Tutor filed certificate of candidacy for her reelection for the last time. She is facing a fellow Candijaynon, lawyer Makdo Castanares, in the congressional race for May 12 elections.
Tutor asked, What’s your purpose, (in droning her house)? Without hesitation, she invited the drone owner or her political detractors to come and see for themselves her house, not on the night but during the day so as clear as the sun rises.
“Mo tanaw sa among balay? Ali mo, mag open house ta. Asa inyong gusto, Tagbi o Candijay? Ngano man gyud gabii, dli na maklaro. E buntag pod ninyo arun maklaro gyud tanan ba.”
She said that this will likely come out in the Bohol Monitor and Bohol TV, said to be trolls critical to the lady solon. She also expected that this will headline in the Bohol Tribune, “as what they did without fact finding & even an iota of any evidence.”
“Dili na pod mi matingala dihang dapita. From resorts to balay nasad mo. But then, sounds familiar again. Sa time nga n dagan si Gov Aris, mao pod na inyo gbuhat sa ilang balay sa Dauis.”
Tutor said that she was not surprised since the attack on her person/being a congresswoman is familiar. She likened her experience now to Gov Aris Aumentado, whose new house in Dauis town was eavesdropped days before election in 2022.
“Dili ko nila mapasunod sa ilang mga gusto. I make my own decisions. I have a strong will to do what needs to be done. I am able to deliver what needs to be delivered to the people. From projects to social services & personal advocacies. I have surpassed traditional leaders & I am confident & proud of the numerous achievements of our district. As i have said, let my district performance speaks of who I Am. I am never perfect & I am not everybody’s cup of tea. However, with the very best of me in serving the people, I have done that. The solidarity of the majority in our district, speaks the integrity of our leadership,” Tutor expressed lament. (rvo)
