Danao inaugurates new isolation center

DANAO, Bohol – Mayor Jose Cepedoza led local officials in the blessing and inauguration of the new health isolation center situated in barangay Sta. Fe on April 27, 2022.

The facility, according to the mayor, is intended as a COVID-19 response and recovery isolation center.

He thanked the health team and all other officials and employees who are instrumental in realizing the said project as he thanked Emma Vitor and family for donating over a hectare of land for the facility.

The said health facility is worth P13,500,000.00 from Department of Social Welfare and Development (P10.7M) thru the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan -Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) and local government unit of Danao (2.7M).

He also bared that thru what he called “no guts, no glory” or “no connection, no glory” approach, he was able to secure some fundings.

This includes the P50 million for the gym; P20 million for the municipal hall.

There may be other fund coming in this town from the Dept of Budget and Management (DBM) to finance other projects, he said.

The mayor said he was meeting with DBM personnel on Thursday after the inauguration.

This town is now having its own municipal college which was erected right after Cepedoza assumed office in 2019. (rvo)
