LPG prices up this February

MANILA, Philippines — Households will need to shell out more for cooking gas as major suppliers raised prices this February.

Petron announced that it will implement a P0.70 per kilogram increase in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices starting Saturday, February 1.

“This reflects the international contract price of LPG for the month of February,” Petron said.

Solane-branded LPG price, meanwhile, will go up by P0.73 per kilogram.

Cleanfuel also adjusted its auto LPG price, increasing it by P0.35 per liter.

Prices of 11-kilogram household LPG ranged from P860 to P1,140 while auto LPG was commonly priced at P42.55 per liter, based on the Department of Energy’s price monitoring in Metro Manila before the adjustment. (Kristine Daguno-Bersamina / Philstar.com)
