SINCE this is bisperas nga Saturday before the election, let us tackle political issues.
And what better way to discuss than talk about Art Yap who is running for reelection.
I will not vote for him, as I have not voted for him on his first run.
And I will tell you why.
Agree with me or not, it doesn’t matter. This is my piece, so just sit tight, relax and enjoy.
And I am simply exercising my basic constitutional right as a taxpayer and citizen of this great country and great province.

Right offhand, I think it was a wrong mistake (pardon the pun) for him to win in that 2019 governatorial elections.
He did not deserve to win, it should have been Toloy Evasco who should have won in that elections.
Anyway, let’s go back to my reasons for not supporting or voting for Art Yap.

One, he made moryo-moryo with his claim to be a Boholano by choice.
Why?
If he really was serious and sincere in his claim that he was a Boholano by affinity, because he married a Boholana, then that claim should have been made a long time ago – when he got married.
But that is not the case here.
He only started dangling that “Boholano” yarn when he ran for congressman of the 3rd district of Bohol. Before that, he was publicly known, and been claiming, to be a resident of Metro Manila.
When he was NFA Administrator, when he was the Secretary of Agriculture, there was no time at all that he claimed to be a Boholano.
Kanang iyang claim, binuang ra na. It was simply pamolitika lang.

Two, many times, he declared his grand plans to enhance food productivity in Bohol, his grand plans for the Bohol farmers and fisherfolks.
In fact, he has an atrocious demand for funding from the DA, a demand so ridiculous that it is more than the total annual budget of the DA.
He wanted to impress anybody of his savvy in managing the food production arm of the province.
He has nice figures to support that. His power point presentation about this is amazing, to say the least.
But consider this, where was this grand plan, this grand love for the farmers and fishers of Bohol when he was still the Secretary of Agriculture? Mao gyod unta to ang hustong panahon nga mabuhat niya ang iyang gustong buhaton, di bah?
What did he do then, specifically, for Bohol, so that there would be a semblance of sincerity in his grand plans?
Wala.
Nada.
Zilch.
Unya karon, patuhoon niya ang mga tawo nga pinangga niya ang mga Boholano farmers and fisherfolks?
Tinonto, di bah?

He promised to give a project to Cansibao, Valencia during his last term as congressman of the 3rd district.
He made that promise to me, to former Vice Governor Dioning Balite and to the barangay folks of Cansibao. So he could not deny.
Did he fulfill his promise?
He did not.
In short, namakak siya, bakakon siya.
Kon ang usa ka tawo bakakon, angayan ba siya nga saligan? Makasalig ba kita sa tawong bakakon?

Unsay tawag nimo sa usa ka tawo nga mangangkon sa dili iyaha nga project?
Like dunay NGO nga dunay project sa Bohol, pero giangkon sa laing tawo nga iyaha kuno.
Nagsulti ba sa tinuod ang maong tawo?
Kon namakak siya, kinsay iyang gibakakan?
Unya, mosalig pa diay ta?

Three, how did he manage Bohol during the initial stage of the COVID?
Maayo ba niya nga pagka-managed, nalipay ba ang mga tawo sa iyang pagdumala?
Nakahinumdom pa mo adtong naghikog kay dili kauli sa Bohol?
Samtang ang ubang probinsiya misugot nga luagan og gamay ang patakaran sa pagsulod ug pag-gawas sa probinsiya, unsay gihimo ni Art Yap adtong panahona?
Gilisod-lisod niya.
Sa dihang gilisod-lisod niya ang pagsulod ug pag-gawas, miuswag ba ang kampanya batok sa COVID?
Di ba misamot man hinuon?
Gilisod-lisod niya ang panginabuhi sa mga tawo tungod sa iyang ka-istrikto sa pagdumala sa COVID.

Samtang gihingusgan ni Gov Gwen Garcia sa lalawigan sa Cebu, ingon man sa ubang mga gobernador, ang pagpangita og paagi sa pagpakaon sa mga tawo, sa pagpangita og paagi nga magaan-gaan ang panginabuhi sa mga tawo, unsay gihimo ni Art Yap?
Husto ba nga manghulga sa mga national agencies?
Husto ba nga magpadala og Army aron malikayan kunohay ang looting?
Diha bay looting nga nahitabo?
Wala na bay laing solusyon gawas sa pag-pangutang?
Husto ba kanang mamalit og mga sakyanan, mga furniture para sa opisina sa kapitolyo panahon sa krisis?
Husto ba kanang lisod-lisoron panahon sa ka-istrikto sa COVID ang ubang mga mayor nga wala mosuporta kaniya pero luag ang iyang patakaran sa mga politiko nga kaalyado niya? Di ba patas man unta ang pag-implementar sa balaod sa COVID? Bisan COVID, pamolitika lang gihapon?

Fourth, nakatilaw na man ta sa pamaagi ni Art Yap sulod sa 3 ka tuig, miuswag ba ang Bohol?
Wala.
Ang miuswag ra ang gidak-on sa utang sa Bohol.
Matawag ba og maayo ang iyang pagdumala?
Hilabihan nga nakapangutang si Art Yap ug sama sa gilunod niya ang lalawigan sa gidak-on sa iyang mga utang.
Tungod niini, angay pa diay gihapon ta nga mobotar kaniya?
Basta ako, dili gyod ko mobotar ni Art Yap sa pagka-gobernador.
