THE Tagbilaran City Police Station (TCPS) received a significant boost to its operational capabilities as a new patrol vehicle was officially turned over on January 8, 2025.
The turnover ceremony took place at the Tagbilaran City Hall Grounds, with Honorable Mayor Jane Yap personally handing over the vehicle’s key to the Chief of Police, Police Lieutenant Colonel John Kareen Escober.
Acquired through the funds of the City Government of Tagbilaran, the patrol vehicle symbolizes the city government’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the police force’s capacity to respond swiftly and efficiently to the needs of the community.
Mayor Yap emphasized the importance of equipping the TCPS with the necessary resources to maintain peace and order in the city, stating, “This new patrol vehicle is not just a tool, but a testament to our dedication to ensuring the safety and security of every Tagbilaranon.
Together with the TCPS, we will continue to work hand in hand in building a safer and more secure city.”
The ceremony was attended by key personnel from the TCPS and city officials, reflecting the strong collaboration between the local government and law enforcement agencies.
Chief of Police PLTCOL John Kareen Escober expressed his gratitude for the continued support of the city government, noting that the new patrol vehicle will significantly improve their mobility and operational readiness in responding to emergencies and ensuring the protection of the public.
