A STRATEGIC plan outlines an organization’s long-term goals, objectives and tactics to achieve its mission and vision. It provides key components: Mission Statement, Vision Statement, Core Values, Problem Tree and Solution Tree Analysis, Goals and Objectives, Strategies, Specific Actions, Key Performance Indicators, Action Plan, Budget and Resources, and Monitoring and Evaluation Activities.
Strategic plan clarifies direction and purpose; aligns stakeholders, employees, and resources; enhances decision-making; provides framework for informed decisions, optimizes resource allocation; efficiently utilizes resources; fosters innovation; encourages creativity and growth; improves performance measurement; establishes key performance indicators; and supports sustainability. SPs will also establishes clear responsibilities; ensures visionary leadership; inspires and motivates; and supports change management.
A region level strategic plan development was conducted on January 8-10, 2025, conducted at the Applied Nutrition Center, Banilad, Cebu City. The activity was managed by Dr. Elaine C. Perfecio, Regional EPSvr-Filipino in CLMD.
The three-day activity entitled, “Stratehikong Pagpaplano ng Pagpupulong ng mga Pansangay na Tagamasid sa Filipino”, is based on Region Memorandum No. 1152, s. 2024, dated Dec 08, 2024. The session on Strategic Planning was conducted by Dr. Bryant C. Acar, RO VII, Education Program Supervisor in Science of Region VII.
The Strategic Planning activity underwent several sessions. Session 1: Theory of Change; Session 2: Online Survey on Customer’s Feedback; Session 3: Workshops on- 3.1. Problem Tree, 3.2 Underlying Causes, and 3.3 Solution Tree.
The three-day activity is geared towards the improvement of student outcomes, enhancement of academic achievement, improvement of teacher effectiveness, development in professional skills, foster collaborative environments, encouragement teamwork, promotion of continuous improvement, encouragement of reflective practice, address educational gaps, integration innovative strategies, share best and promising practices, support institutional goals, and alignment with organizational objectives.
The twenty divisions from Region VII represented by their SDO Education Program Supervisors in Filipino were able to develop their individual 2025 Calendar of Activities, Needs Assessment Plan, Needs Prioritization Plan, Implementation Plan, Monitoring Plan, and Technical Assistance Plan.
By using a needs-based, data-driven, process-based, and participatory strategic plan DepEd officials can navigate challenges, capitalize on opportunities and drive sustainable growth for the achievement of quality outputs.
