
THE Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) is a youth organization that aims to empower girls and young women to become responsible and productive members of society. Founded in 1940, GSP has grown to serve the country, self, and others.
The organization’s mission is “to help girls and young women realize the ideals of womanhood and prepare themselves for their responsibilities in the home, the nation, and the world community”. Its vision is to develop Filipino girls and young women who are “God-loving, patriotic, progressive, dynamic, and proactive”. Programs and Activities GSP offers various programs and activities focused on character development, leadership, and community service. These include: camping and outdoor activities: adventures that prepare Girl Scouts for life, promoting positive values, leadership, and willingness to serve.
Since GS movement is a non-government agency, this needs support from the stakeholders. One of the activities that supported GS activities to generate funds is the coronation of the “mutya ng GSP”. Bohol Council held its Mutya ng GSP Bohol Council 2024 at Maxi Hotel, Palma Street, Tagbilaran City, on December 21, 2024.
This year, the age level considered in the said activities are girls from the twinkler and star scout levels. The following represented their districts and municipalities. 15th runner-up Princess Yassi L. Travero, from Getafe District; 14th runner-up Arhiana A. Supieza from Dagohoy District; 13th runner-up Brianna Ann B. Mante; 12th runner-up Ansheerryna Chen O. Cubio from Tagbilaran City 1 District; 11th runner-up Briana Skyler B. Chatto from Catigbian District; 10th runner up, Cherysjane P. Esto from Bien Unido District; 9th runner-up. Marry Christhea L. Bago from Batuan District; 8th runner up, Azizza Sophia T. Curabot from Guindulman District; 7th runner up, Khelly V. Opalla from Ubay 2 District; 6th runner up, Princess Mae B. Decinella from San Isidro District; 5th runner up Mary Jade Chloe C. Agum from Clarin District; 4th runner-up, Philiah Sophia A. Campion from Balilihan District; 3rd runner up Matthea Amor Rayas from Tubigon East District; 2nd runner-up, Princess Hya Helera from Carmen District, 1st runner up, Gemmary A. Cabug-os from Tubigon West District; Crowned as GSP Bohol Council Mutya 2024 is Kyla Mae Muring from Candijay District.
The GSP Bohol Council is so grateful for all the support of the public schools district supervisors, school leaders, troop leaders, parents, and local government units.
