THE impeachment conspirators never thought the backlash would be that huge, yes, huge. They thought that by using “other complainants” and inventing those fancy grounds for impeachment, coupled with the succession of political dramas that started with the probe on the confidential funds, the Piattos thing, the ICC scare of PRRD and all that, the madlang Pinoy would just dive in and join the march to political calvary.
They thought all the while that the political situation was ripe for the picking, and all the political ingredients have been added to the impeachment drama to unfold on christmastime.
Yes, christmastime.

But they did not factor a lot of things, mainly, the sturdy and robust popularity of VP Sara and the Dutertes.
When the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) chimed in with the Duterte loyalists, saying in clear and unequivocal terms that they are against the impeachment drama, everything stopped right there and then.
As in, stop gyod dayon.

The excuse for the stop was automatic, and plausible too.
Not enough time for impeachment kuno and besides, the President has already distanced himself from the impeachment drama saying that there are many other more important things to do.
So stop dayon, as in stop nga patay na.

What is the message to Tamba?
The use of the walhons in the House to do the almost daily verbal attacks against VP Sara does not wash. Klaro kaayo ang sabwatan.
The excuse to dig deep into the use of the confidential funds, for transparency purposes kunohay, does not also wash.
The excuse to make use of the “moral ascendancy” thing to uncover the many questions surrounding kunohay on the use of the OVP confidential funds also does not wash because for one thing, the OVP was singled out and there are other government officials who are also using their own confidential funds and the House is just dedma on this anomaly.
The popularity of the Tamba is steadily declining, save perhaps sa mga crocs in the House who continue to praise him as if he’s the heaven’s gift to mankind.
And finally, if the Tamba thinks that with the crocs in the House at his beck and call, he can already face head-on VP Sara, then the past events would indubitably show him that he is wrong, dead wrong.
And because of this, I am sure that the fallout in the elections next year would spell doom on those perceived to be openly supporting Tamba, and against VP Sara.

By the way, in my recollection, this is the first time ever that the INC has openly “inserted” itself in the political affairs of the country.
Of course, for good reasons, and I concur 120% on the reasons for their timely intervention.
There are many pressing issues confronting the country right now, especially the ballooning national debt, rising inflation, high cost of living and many others, and all these tuta ni Tamba have in mind is to launch the impeachment drama?
So when the INC says No to impeachment, press dayon ang panic button nga Stop.
So instead of hurling VP Sara to the road to political calvary, on christmastime at that, the Tamba is the one who is crucified in the losing end.
So kadtong nagtuo nga political salvation nila si Tamba in May 2025, so they have to flock to his side and distance themselves from VP Inday Sara, maybe its hightime to think twice or even thrice.
