BOHOL Second Congressional District Athletic Association (BSCDAA) is composed of fourteen municipalities in the second congressional district of Bohol. These municipalities were grouped into clusters of municipalities. CUB (Pres. Carlos P. Garcia, Ubay, and Bien Unido); DaDaSAnTri (Danao, Dagohoy, San Miguel, and Trinidad); BuenTaGe (Buenavista, Talibon, and Getafe); and SaClInSi (Sagbayan, Clarin, Inabanga, and San Isidro). Some municipalities are composed of two or three districts.
BSCDAA held its meeting for the coming second congressional athletic meet for the school year 2024-2025, to be hosted by the municipality of Talbon. The said meeting was attended by Municipal Mayors, Municipal Accountants, Budget Officers, Public Schools District Supervisors, and District PESS Coordinators.
In her welcome message, PSDS Percy P. Torres PhD, expressed her hope for decisions for the common good of the sports affiliates and stakeholders. Talibon Municipal Mayor Janette A. Garcia LLB, in her inspirational message, cited that the municipality is so grateful for hosting the BSCDAA Meet for the second time. She informed the participants that the local government unit is very supportive of sports and other DepEd-related activities. She informed that Taibon Polytechnic College playing venues are not available for the 300 hundred million budget is already available for the new construction of their proposed buildings, but assured the attendees, that there are already rented lots for the coming athletic events. She jokingly said that, “the longer you stay, the happier we will be”.
PSDS Zenaida P. Miano PhD, presented the number of athletes, coaches, and chaperons who will be the major considerations in the budget preparation. PSDS Juan Torregosa, SDO Sports Division Coordinator proposed to adhere to the previous composition.
In response for the concept of, “Education for All”, learners who are differently-able are given the opportunities to participate in the different sports events as reflected in the memorandum from DepEd.
PSDS Nestor Villas proposed that the budget will still be the same as of the previous year. His proposal was put into motion and approved by the body. There was also a motion approved by the body that only athletes, coaches, and officiating officials shall be accommodated at the playing venues and billeting quarters. The agreed date of the BSCDAA Meet is November 8-10, 2024.
The credentials checking would be on November 4-6, 2024. The playing venues for the different events were also presented. PESS Coordinator Marlowe Auxtero informed that the swimming pool entrance fees would be taken-care of by the host municipality.
The municipality of San Miguel will host the 2025 and 2026 BSCDAA Meet, as expressed by PSDS Susan C. Morgia, with the approval of Mayor Ian Mendez.
BSCDAA AKO meeting was held in RG’s Event Hall, San Isidro, Talibon, Bohol, last September 25, 2024. Ma. Mae Luminarias, School In-charge of Tunaang Dako Elementary School, Talibon I District, served as the Officer of the Day.
