Na-hijack

BOARD Member-wannabe Willy Ramasola has torn apart, apparently in disgust, his Oath of Membership with the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) because accordingly, he could not stomach being in the same party with former Governor ArtYap.

And impliedly, he could not stomach too, having ArtYap as his “political amo” because ArtYap is reportedly the provincial chair of NPC-Bohol.

Given this equation, the tearing of his NPC Oath (that signifies his membership with that party) necessarily means that Willy R is unilaterally revoking his membership with NPC, though he needs to formally relay his intention to the NPC leadership, to make it official.

When he ran for Governor, ArtYap took shelter under PDP-Laban.

And he also “crowned” himself as the provincial chair of PDP-Laban, even though he was not a chairman of any local PDP-Laban party in any of the towns of Bohol, as required by party rules.

And he became PDP-Laban even without the usual party briefing, party indoctrination and party training. In other words, he did not go through the usual procedure of party membership/affiliation.

How did he do that?

He just raised his right hand before former Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez and presto, PDP-Laban na dayon siya.

One time, former VGov Dioning Balite officially became the provincial chair of PDP-Laban Bohol because he was the highest ranking PDP-Laban at that time. The former provincial chair was forced to relinquish his seat in favor of Balite because he lost in the mayoral contest in his town.

As the provincial chair, he was tasked (by the regional chair) to re-organize and strengthen the local (municipal) chapters of PDP-Laban. He did so.

He was also directed to undergo the party briefing/training in one of the towns of Cebu as required by party rules. He did, together with 8 other core members.

He was also required to undergo the usual trainors’ training so he could conduct party briefing/training locally, meaning in the municipal levels, all over Bohol.

He did so too, using his own personal money and resources, for the plete and snacks of the participants. You can just imagine the huge, yes very huge, expenses involved in the conduct of trainings all over the province’s 47 towns and 1 city.

Having done all that, he was formally recognized by former Senate President Koko Pimentel that he was indeed the provincial chair of PDP-Laban Bohol and was assured in no uncertain terms that he would be the one to receive (and later) distribute the certificate of nomination and acceptance (CONA) of all PDP-Laban candidates in Bohol.

He was in fact issued a CONA as PDP-Laban’s official candidate for the 3rd district congressional race.

Everything was set for the distribution of PDP-Laban Bohol CONA for all party candidates in the province.

Then all of a sudden, gi-submarino pa bitaw ni ArtYap.

Impas patatas.

What happened?

Gi-hijack pa bitaw niya ang tanang CONA nga dala sa taga-Manila og siya na ang mi-distribute niini.

When Balite confronted the “courier” in Kew Hotel about the hijacking of the CONA, he just relayed the instruction from party officials to give the CONAs to ArtYap. And feigning an important call, he hurriedly excused himself and never came out of his room again.

In utter disgust, Balite did a Willy Ramasola.

Gikisi niya ang iyang CONA ug gipadala og balik ngadto ni Koko Pimentel.

If Willy Ramasola was disgusted, disappointed, frustrated and all that, for that party affiliation anomaly, he has nothing to blame but himself.

He picked NPC over all other political parties, (nga lima singko man unta ka daghan).

He opted to affiliate with the NPC in Manila rather than in the local chapter.

And he forgot, probably in haste, to ask who would be the provincial chair of the party (before affiliating himself) with NPC.

So, what is the result?

Sama sa nabiktima si Willy sa hijacking.

And in a way, husto sab ang gihimo ni Willy nga mo-kalas na lang. Because with ArtYap at the tip of the NPC totem pole in Bohol, Willy cannot expect a CONA from him.

Mentras sayo pa, og duna pa siyay time mobalhin og laing partido.
