INABANGA Mayor Jono Jumamoy expresses jubilation and congratulations to Nesthy Petecio for clinching the bronze medal in boxing in Paris Olympics 2024.

“Garbo natong mga Inabangnon nga aduna kitay igsuong dugong INaBangnon nga lig on nga nakigbisog sa Paris Olympics 2024 nga si Nesthy Petecio nga may kaliwat nga taga Badiang,” the mayor said in fb post.

“Mapasalamaton kita kaayo sa iyang gipakita nga kaisog ug determinasyon diha sa larang sa boxing, ug nagdala sa atong bandila sa Pilipinas ug labina mapasigarbohon kita nga dugong INaBangnon.  Padayon Nesthy Petecio sa sunod pang Olympics,” the mayor added.

Report said that Nesthy Petecio bows out of #Paris2024 with a bronze medal in the women’s 57kg boxing division, marking the Philippines’ fourth medal in the ongoing Summer Olympics.

The Filipina bet fell to Julia Szeremeta of Poland in the semifinals via split decision.

Filipina boxer Nesthy Petecio just became a two-time Olympic medalist, joining a prestigious list of athletes from the Philippines to have won more than one medal in the Olympic Games.

Petecio, who already held a silver medal from the Tokyo Olympics three years ago, secured a bronze in the 2024 Paris Olympics after a semifinal finish in the women’s 57 kg division.
