POLICE operatives have seized an estimated 1,450 grams of suspected “shabu” worth P9,860,000.00 in a buy-bust operations in Cortes town, about 11 kms from capital, Tagbilaran City at past 12am, July 20, 2024, police showed.
The suspects are identified as one Mark Niño Navales Padonia, 26, single, male, laborer and his cohort, Mark Joevan Amper Sasi single, student. Both are residents of Brgy. De Lapaz, Cortes town.
Police bared the recovered and confiscated pieces of evidence: (One (1) piece genuine one thousand peso bill (Php1000.00); 14 pieces of fake one thousand peso bills worth Php15K as the buy-bust money; One (1) piece of medium size heat sealed transparent plastic sachet; Five (5) pieces of medium heat-sealed transparent plastic cellophane containing white crystalline substance; Seven (7) pieces of large size heat-sealed transparent plastic cellophane containing white crystalline substance; Two (2) pieces color gray plastic cellophane served as improvised container of the seized/confiscated suspected shabu; One (1) unit digital weighing scale; One (1) unit cellular phone, color blue; and One(1) piece color red bag pack used as improvised container of all seized confiscated pieces of evidence.
Police said that the apprehended suspects were brought to Cortez Municipal Police Station for booking procedure and the seized illegal drugs for laboratory test.
Barangay Lourdes Kagawad Russel Ongyot, Kagawad Joselito Malcampo and Media Representative, Willy Maestrado witness the inventory. Police said that the operations was recorded with the use of two units of Alternative Recording Device (ARD) in compliance of A.M. No. 21-06-08 SC.
The operations was carried out by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit led by PLT Mark Jucel Reburiano, under PCol Joemar Pomarejos, in coordination with Cortes Municipal Police Station and the Philippines Drug Enforcement Agency. (rvo)
