National Learning Camp Kicks Off

AS part of its ongoing efforts to assist learning recovery and close learning gaps caused by the COVID-19 epidemic, the Department of Education (DepEd) has announced that the National Learning Camp (NLC) 2024 will start during the End-of-School Year (EOSY) break. The NLC is a comprehensive, optional summer program designed to increase teacher effectiveness and enhance student outcomes. (deped.gov.ph).

As observed, learners were actively involved with the activities as provided based on the prepared lessons. Schools/teachers implementing the NLC for a 6-hour requirement (4.5 hrs using the NLC materials/lessons and 1.5 hrs fun-filled/camp-like activities were properly monitored by the schools division offices. These learning camps started last July 3, 2024.

The elementary and secondary school heads of Ubay 2 East District implemented the different activities through the active and supportive school leaders who are always ready with financial, moral, and technical assistance. Boc of Cagting Elementary School; Elizabeth Dumapias of Benliw Elementary School; Nida Alacida of Juagdan Elementary School; Nino G. Lagumbay of San Vicente Elementary School; Wenie Olpindo of Cuya Elementary School; Cipriana Amolat of Guintaboan Elementary School; Mary Joan Mirontos of Sinandigan Elementary School; Julieto Manuta of Imelda Elementary School; Mhel Ayuban of Tintinan Elementary School; Rochelle Impang of Union National High School; Rochelle Mercado of Cagting National HIgh School; Joey P. Bitua PhD of Tipolo National High School;and Diomedes Montero of Biabas Trade High School, are always ready and available in the provision of support for the success of the said DepEd endeavor.

The fifth day of the week will be considered for a Learning Action Cell (LAC) session, where concerns, issues, gaps, and problems will be presented. Recommendations to address the concerns, issues, gaps, and problems will be presented, discussed, and considered.
