THE performance of incumbent government officials was rated in the latest Bohol Poll opinion survey which were made public during the presentation on Friday (May 3, 2024) at the audio-visual hall of the Holy Name University.
On top of them all is Congresswoman Alexie Besas Tutor, who got a net satisfaction rating of +85% from the respondents of the third district. This considered “excellent” in Social Weather Station’s parlance.
The respondents of the total urban, class E and 18-24 age group gave her a net of +100% apiece. Her lowest point is a net +65% from 35-44 age group. Her total net this year (85%) declined to one notch since last year’s net of +86%.
The respondents in second district bestowed Congresswoman Vanessa C. Aumentado a satisfaction rating of +67, higher than five points in last year’s net of +62%. This is “very good.”
There were +72% of the respondents satisfied as against 5% dissatisfied and undecided at 22% for the congresswoman. She got a highest of net +78% from male variable and her lowest is net +50% from total urban.
Rep. Edgar M. Chatto’s performance has plunged 10 notches, garnering a net of +59 this year from last year’s net of +69%. There were 67% satisfied as against 8% dissatisfied and undecided, 24%. This is considered “very good.”
Chatto’s lowest score is net of +29% given class E respondents and his highest, net of 69% from 18024 age group.
Gov. Aris Aumentado got “very good” performance with a satisfaction rating of a net +61%. This is lower than +78% in 2023, Bohol Poll said. He got a net of +69% satisfied, 8% dissatisfied and 22% undecided.
Age group of 18-24 gave the governor the highest with a net of +79% and his lowest is net of +42% in Tagbilaran City. He obtained net of +58% in first district and net +76% and +54% in second and third districts, respectively.
The respondents handed out a “good” satisfaction rating for Vice-Gov. Victor A. Balite with a net of +35% from last year’s net +65%.
There were net +49 satisfied with his performance while 14% dissatisfied and 37% undecided. Balite got the highest point of net + 49% from class E and his lowest a net of +14% in Tagbilaran City.
Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane C. Yap maintains her performance rating at net +79%, same as last year’s April-May survey conducted by Bohol Poll. It is considered “excellent.”
“A great majority (85%) of them (respondents) were satisfied with her performance while few (6%) said otherwise which resulted in a net satisfaction rating of +79. Undecided was of +35,” according to the survey conducted on March 23-April 23, 2024.
Vice-Mayor Adam Relson Jala’s performance rating climbs to net +65% this year from +61% in last year’s opinion survey. This is also considered “excellent.”
The city mayor got the highest rating from age group 25-30 at +90%; and his lowest at +60 from class E.
The public presentation was held at the Holy Name University secondary audio visual hall with acting vice-president for admin Brother Mark Paglicawan, SVD, University President Fr. Ruel F. Lero, SVD and VP for Academic Affairs Fr. Ramilo V. Mapaye, SVD in closing remarks.
The social issues were presented by Jezreel Josh Adlaon, Nina Maureen Cutamora on methodology and demographic profile of the voters and Dr. Maria Paz Espiritu on political issues. (rvo)
