The province also has a indemnification scheme of 5,000 per full-grown pig, 1,000 per suckling and 3,000 per post-suckling pig. This means that hog owners who allow their pigs to be killed to contain the spread of the virus will not be left empty-handed.
And good thing about it, the processing of the indemnity will take only a week or so.
But if the affected hog owners had opted to avail themselves of the hog insurance program of the DA, the indemnification is pegged at 10,000 per full-grown hog.
