THE Saulog Tagbo sa Tagbi Bazaar is gearing up to officially kick off its nightly festivities on April 12, 2024, marking the beginning of a month-long celebration at the City Hall grounds.
Running until May 5, 2024, the bazaar will be open every evening from 5:00 pm to 12:00 midnight, offering an array of local products and delicacies from over 70 small and medium-sized enterprises.
City Mayor Jane Yap, Vice Mayor Adam Relson Jala, and Sangguniang Panlungsod Members, along with various department heads, are poised to lead the ceremonial opening of the bazaar.
Mayor Yap is expected to encourage residents and visitors alike to participate in the opening event and support the local entrepreneurs by patronizing their products.
Mayor Yap said: “In our city, we take pride in our vibrant local economy and the entrepreneurial spirit of our residents. The Saulog Tagbo sa Tagbi provides an excellent opportunity for us to showcase the diverse talents and offerings of our local businesses. I invite everyone to join us in celebrating our community’s creativity, flavor, and resilience at this exciting event.”
According to City Local Civil Registrar Jubelyn Pulgarinas, who serves as the Chairman of Saulog Tagbo sa Tagbi, the bazaar will showcase a diverse selection of locally-made goods, ranging from artisanal crafts to delectable food and beverages. Visitors can also expect to find unique items and indulge in the rich flavors of Tagbilaran’s culinary delights.
In addition to the bustling marketplace, families will be able to enjoy the Saulog sa mga Bata at the City Hall atrium on April 12, 2024. It will feature a free children’s entertainment program complete with mascots, inflatable playgrounds, and engaging games.
During the Saulog Tagbo sa Tagbi, there will also be nightly events at the City Hall park, musical performances and a dancing fountain spectacle, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the festivities.
