THE City Government of Tagbilaran, in collaboration with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), is set to launch another “Passport on Wheels” service on April 3-4, 2024, at the City Hall Atrium.
According to City PESO-in charge Mark Borja, approximately 1,200 applicants are expected to apply for or renew their passports during the two-day event.
Mayor Jane Yap expressed her gratitude to the DFA for conducting mobile passport services in Tagbilaran City, emphasizing the convenience and cost-effectiveness it offers to applicants.
She highlighted the significance of the service, noting that it saves applicants time and money by eliminating the need to travel to Cebu or Dumaguete, where the nearest DFA Consular offices are located.
Mayor Yap stated, “This initiative is a significant boon for Tagbilaranons, allowing them to access essential passport services without the inconvenience of traveling long distances. We are committed to providing efficient and accessible government services to our constituents.”
Pre-registered applicants are reminded to bring all required documents during the mobile passport event, as walk-in applicants will not be entertained.
