Bohol loop 2024 rakes in P7.5-M, says source

Bohol Loop ‘24 (rvo)

THE Bohol loop 2024 is reported to have raked in a whopping P7.5 million in registration,  according to a user who posted it on facebook.

The user (whose identity is kept under wraps) said that there were 3,000 riders who paid P2,500 registration to participate in the loop based on their interview. But this cannot be independently confirmed as of this writing.

When they were asked what they got from their registration, the riders said they were given the long sleeve uniform, face cover and breakfast. They (riders) also bared that they don’t have a charity, but just for fun and tour around Bohol. The proceeds from the event go to the unnamed organizers.

When asked if they meet an accident, the unnamed riders said they’re responsible for whatever happened to them since they’ve signed a waiver for that matter. But it was not clear if they are to be held liable to the victims who are residents of the place like what happened in Sikatuna town.

Bohol loop 2024 is a some kind of wobbly ‘motourism’ event aimed at promoting Bohol tourism, promoting road safety and enjoying the ride.

At least five separate vehicular accidents involving loop riders were reported in separate places during the two-day tour around the province.

In a statement posted on socmed, the provincial government is contemplating to suspend future events like the Bohol loop.

It clarified that Bohol Loop 2024 last March 23-24 was organized solely by Loop PH.

The “role of the Provincial Government of Bohol, along with other national government agency partners, is to provide support and to ensure the success of the event.”

“It said that Loop PH has assured the provincial government of Bohol that it would extend assistance to the bereaved family and is committed to treat with urgency the matter of safety of both our locals and loopers. The provincial government is likewise reviewing existing policies on similar events, with the end goal of making safety and security a priority for our people and our guests.” (rvo)
