THE Department of Education is geared towards the total development of young learners. In the pursuit of quality education that could fulfill its vision and mission, DepEd has provided several programs, projects, and activities. There are many locally initiated programs and projects to improve and enhance teachers’ competencies and skills, aside from mandated ones. If properly supported, will result in the realization of DepEd’s goal for the provision of curricular and co-curricular activities in response to the needs of the young learners.
Biabas Trade High School, Ubay 2 District in DepEd, SDO Bohol is so blessed to be of the recipients of a covered court from the Office of the Second Congressional Ma Vanessa “Vanvan” C. Aumentado. A turn-over ceremony was conducted on February 9, 2024, at 3:00 in the afternoon.
The said activity was attended by Congresswoman Ma. Vanessa C. Aumentado, Governor Erico Aristotle “Aris” C. Aumentado, Municipal Mayor Constantino “Costan” H. Reyes, Barangay Captain Alvin Pobar, with all Biabas Barangay Officials, Teaching and Non-Teaching Force of the said school. The said turn-over ceremony was also attended by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
In her message, Congresswoman VanVan emphasized that one of her priority considerations is programs and projects that are geared toward the total development of Boholano learners, specifically from the second congressional district of Bohol. She encouraged school and local government leaders to give full support in the provision of related activities for the promotion of physical, mental, emotional, and social development among young learners.
Governor Aris, in his message, expressed that Boholanos need to work hand-in-hand for the realization of the dreams of a bright future for the province. He encouraged that skills training be provided for learners to become more resilient in facing life’s challenges. He further cited that the covered court which has been turned-over be used for activities that will surely pave the way not only in academic academic, but with non-academic aspects.
Municipal Mayor Constan expressed that the municipal government is always there to provide full support in all aspects to ensure the delivery of quality basic education services. The turn-over ceremony was hosted by one of the faculty members, Mr. Ernesto Cutamora.
