THE candidates for various posts of the Liga ng mga Barangay (LnB) Bohol were unchallenged and probably it’s the first time in the federation’s history, reliable Capitol source said.
Board Member and Doctor Romulo Cepedoza of Danao, town was re-elected president of the Liga ng Barangay (LnB) Bohol Chapter President for the term 2023-2025 unopposed.
He was proclaimed as such during the LnB Bohol Chapter elections held at the ceremonial hall New Capitol Tagbilaran City Friday, January 12. His co-officers were also unopposed.
Proclaimed as the Vice-President is Rodolfo O. Tutor of Candijay; Auditor is Leonette L. Quiñanola of Buenavista.
Elected Board of Directors are Jemilo T. Puertos (Dagohoy), Apolonio G. Castulo (Guindulman), Jose G. Barrera (Antequera), Zenaido E. Jaspe (Pilar), Cydon Cariso M. Camacho II (Jetafe), Sergio M. Bangalao (Tagbilaran City), Kenneth B. Estavilla (CPG), and Ian A. Bernadez (Batuan).
Cepedoza will continue to sit as ex-officio member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Bohol until 2025 when the term of the barangay officials will expire.
He started as a Sangguniang Bayan of Danao town 1998 to 2002. Cepedoza became the Municipal Liga President of Danao from 2002 and the same time was the Provincial Liga Federated President.
During the year 2007 to 2010, he served as the Municipal Liga President of Danao town.
Cepedoza also became a regular Board Member representing the Second District of Bohol from 2010 to 2013.
He served back as the Municipal Liga Federated President of his home town and as the Provincial Federated Liga Vice-President of Liga ng Barangay Bohol Chapter from 2013 to 2015.
From 2015 to present, Cepedoza is the Provincial Liga nga Barangay Federated President. He is also serving since 2018 to present as the Regional President of Liga ng Barangay Region 7 and member of the National Executive Board of Liga ng Barangay sa Pilipinas.
After the election, Governor Aris Aumentado administered the oath of office. The election and ceremony was witnessed by Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Provincial Director Jerome Gonzales, Comelec Bohol Provincial Director Atty. Eliseo Labaria and Bohol PPO Deputy Director for Administration PLt. George Vale representing Provincial Director PCol. Lorenzo Batuan. (DCR/rvo)
