BOHOL officials led by Governor Aris Aumentado pin high hopes and full of optimism for this year.
The governor called on Boholanos to start the New Year with happiness, strength, and hope for a better tomorrow.
“Sa atong pagsugat sa usa ka bag-ong tuig, sugdan nato ang 2024 na adunay kalipay, kalig-on, ug paglaom alang sa usa ka mas maayong ugma,” Aumentado said in a statement.
For her part, Congesswoman Alexie B. Tutor appeared to be fully energized when she said in her fb post, “Bring it on 2024. I am ready more than ever,” with orange (her favorite color) emojis of a muscle and a heart.
“Dli sad ta ambisyosa. Wait lang ta ani ug asa ta dad-on sa Ginoo kay cya ra gyud kahibao ug asa ko nya ibotang.” (I’m not ambitious. Let’s just wait what and where God may bring us to. God only knows).
She said that she asked God for a simple in life, but God gives her gargantuan and heavy responsibility.
The governor said, “Bisan pa man sa tanang naagian nato isip mga indibidwal ug usa ka probinsya, angayan lamang kita nga magsadya kay gihatagan kita og laing higayon na makamugna og kaayuhan ug kabag-uhan sa atong katilingban,” he added.
Meanwhile, Rep. Vanessa Aumentado said the new year marks an opportunity to be strong and move forward with lessons learned.
“Happy New Year sa tanan. Unta pabilin tang maglig-on, magma-dasigon ug magmala-umon kanunay sa dagan sa atong Kinabuhi,” she said.
“Unsay inyong New Year’s resolution beh? Akoa kay matuman ang akong mga New Year’s resolution apil tong sauna pa. Bitaw, amping and always thank GOD for everything,” added Vanessa. (ricobedencio@yahoo.com with BIN)
