Loay mayor is civil service Dangal ng Bayan awardee

MAYOR AYUBAN

LOAY municipal Mayor Atty. Hilario “Boyet” Ayuban has been awarded for being an outstanding government worker for “Dangal ng Bayan” category by the Civil Service Commission in time for the annual civil service celebration this month.

His win for such prestigious award among local government unit workers and officials came after Ms. Geralee Supanga nominated him to such annual award.

In his facebook post, he said, he’s “humbled by this letter from the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Regional Office VII informing me that I am one of the Regional Winners for the 2023 SEARCH FOR OUTSTANDING GOVERNMENT WORKERS for the DANGAL NG BAYAN Category for the implementation of projects that uplift the lives of the constituents like the “Balay Tinabangay sa Loay” & “Libreng Sakay for the Students.”

He added, “This recognition will not be possible without the full support of the SB headed by VM JanJan Cubarol, Councilors Wendy Sagaral, Rey Anthony Supanga, Bong Bullecer, JP Romero, Ondoy Adiong, Philip Quiño, Willy Flores, Paul Tejano, ABC Ai Damalerio & SK Lucelo Mangmang as well as the Head of Offices, Rank & Files, Job Order Casuals, Barangay Captains & their Councils.”

He thanked CSC for the honor. “Special mention to my nominator & writer, Geralee Bacor-Supanga,” he said.

Mayor Ayuban’s unconventional service in building roofs and building hopes for the homeless is incomparable in the annals of public service. He was able to gather assistance from well-meaning residents who donated cash or in kind just to construct houses to those who can hardly afford to build their own homes.

“My gratitude also to our donors in the Balay Tinabangay sa Loay program and to all Loayanos who gave me an opportunity to serve Loay, this is for you,” he said in conclusion of his post. (rvo)
