CONCRETING her desire to support education, Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane Yap provided free paint to several schools in the city as part of the annual Brigada Eskwela program.
This initiative took place as the Brigada Eskwela project was held from August 14 to 19, 2023, where she saw the active involvement of the community in preparing schools for the upcoming academic year.
Mayor Jane Yap, presented a hands-on approach by supplying paint to the following schools: Taloto Elementary School, Dr. Cecilio Putong National High School – Senior High School, Dr. Cecilio Putong National High School – Junior High School, San Isidro National High School, Tagbilaran City Central Elementary School, Tagbilaran City Central – SPED Center, Booy South Elementary School and Cogon Night High School.
Mayor Jane expressed her support to providing quality education as well as, a conducive learning environment for Tagbilaran City’s students.
“Education is the cornerstone of progress, and we want to ensure that our students have access to a conducive learning environment. Brigada Eskwela is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together and contribute to our children’s education. We are grateful to all the teachers and DepEd officials, parents, alumni, community leaders, NGOs, private sector, government agencies and all other stakeholders for your participation and contribution in this year’s Brigada Eskwela,” Mayor Yap said.
Brigada Eskwela is an annual program of the Department of Education that encourages the community to come together to clean, repair, and beautify schools in preparation for the start of classes.
Aside from enhancing the physical aspects of the schools, the activity also fosters a sense of unity and collaboration among the community members.
Through these collective efforts, Tagbilaran City aims to provide its students with the best possible educational experience.
