THE City Government of Tagbilaran, in collaboration with the Medical Missions Foundation – Kansas City, conducted a successful series of healthcare initiatives on June 25, 26 and 29, 2023.
These initiatives included a Dental Mission, Operation Tuli (Circumcision), and Distribution of Eyeglasses to individuals in need.
These activities definitely provide vital healthcare services to Tagbilaranons.
The three-day event witnessed the concerted efforts of dedicated healthcare professionals, volunteers, and support staff who have been working tirelessly to offer essential medical services to residents who may not have regular access to such care.
Mayor Jane Yap extended her heartfelt appreciation to the Medical Missions Foundation- Kansas City and all the dedicated individuals who contributed to the success of these healthcare initiatives.
“We are grateful for the invaluable support of the Medical Missions Foundation- Kansas City and the commitment of our healthcare professionals and volunteers. Together, we have made a tangible difference in the lives of our residents, promoting their health and well-being,” Mayor Yap added.
The Dental Mission provided complimentary dental check-ups, tooth extraction, and filling to address common oral health concerns. The participating dental professionals also educated attendees on proper oral hygiene practices.
On the other hand, Operation Tuli provided free circumcision services to young boys in the city. This initiative aimed to promote reproductive health and prevent potential health complications associated with uncircumcised males.
Finally, the distribution of eyeglasses successfully addressed visual impairments by providing free prescription eyeglasses to individuals in need. This program aimed to improve vision and enhance the overall quality of life for those who may have been struggling with visual challenges.
The event received overwhelming support from the community, with numerous residents benefiting from the healthcare services provided.
Participants expressed their gratitude to the City Government of Tagbilaran and to the Medical Missions Foundation- Kansas City for delivering essential health services.
