GARCIA-HERNANDEZ, Bohol – Miss Precious Mae M. Ochavillo was crowned as Sibugbuan Festival Queen 2023, besting seven other candidates during the search for the queen held at the jampacked and newly refurbished gymnasium.
Ochavillo, who represented District 4 comprising barangays Malinao, Cayam, West Lungsodaan and East Lungsodaan, didn’t expect the win as seen in her facial expression but visibly overjoyed.
Ochavillo also bagged the Miss Smart plum and was crowned by former queen in 2019 Miss Shaira Milan and Mayor Jess Baja.
The mayor heartily thanked those who labored, like the barangay officials, employees, SB members led by Vice-Mayor Antonia Ladaga and private sector, to make the big event the 169th Sinugubuan Festival here meaningful and successful.
Completing Ochavillo’s royal court is Miss Sheena O. Milan as first runner-up and Miss Ma. Sheina C. Edubas, second runner-up.
Milan, representing district 1 got the Best in Production Number and Edubas of district 8, Best in Festival Costume.
Miss Daniela Estanol (district 2) garnered the Miss Photogenic and Miss Cignal; and Miss Angel Marie P. Madrona (district 3), Darling in Social Media.
Provincial Board Members Greg Jala and Nathaniel Binlod and senior BM Tita V. Baja graced the affair with other officials in the Sangguniang Bayan.
The municipality, the mayor said, has recognized its citizens in their specialized field by awarding the deserving over 300 achievers in sports, academic and other feats during the event.
Mr. Victor Tumanda, Ms. Hasel Llido and Ric Obedencio served as the board of judges of the queen search. (rvo)
