CONGRESSMAN Erico Aristotle “Aris” C. Aumentado of the Second District of Bohol met with the officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) led by Acting Secretary Roger G. Mercado, together with representatives from the Korean government last March 1, 2022 at the DPWH Central Office in Manila.
During the said meeting, they discussed several projects that will be implemented in the Province of Bohol, especially in the Second District. They also discussed ways on how to further advance the progress of the province through infrastructure development.
The Korean representative, Mr. Jan Hway Park, expressed willingness to assist in the funding of various projects in Bohol and continue supporting projects that began under the administration of Aris’ late father, former Governor Erico B. Aumentado.
It can be remembered that through Korean help, major projects such as the Bohol Circumferential Road and major irrigation dams have been completed, contributing to the progress of the province from one of the poorest in the country to one of the richest in Visayas.
In a statement, Aumentado stated that he is satisfied to know that Bohol has partners like DPWH and South Korea in helping the province attain his goal of progress and assured that his office is always ready to help implement such projects.
“Our office is always ready to partner with different agencies from here and abroad in the pursuit of development. I am happy that the Korean government is always ready to assist us in our projects, and we can assure Boholanos that serving them will always be our top priority,” the solon said. (PR/jja)
