Chapter Board of Directors take oath

THE new Philippine Red Cross- Bohol Chapter Board of Directors took oath on Saturday, February 4, at the JJs Seafood Village in Tagbilaran City.

The new Board of Directors (BOD) will spearhead various social welfare programs, medical missions, and disaster response programs from the largest humanitarian network in the world.

1st District Congressman Edgar Chatto was elected as the chairman of the BOD, along with The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) Atty. Anthony Damalerio as the Vice-chair.

The BOD elected Businessman Emmanuel Pilayre as secretary, with assistant secretary Dr. Benita Briones. The BOD elects Engineer Rosalinda Yu as the treasurer, with businessman George Lim as the assistant secretary.

Midwife Corazon Parras became the BOD’s Auditor. Along with her are Dr. Jasmine Jumao-as, elected as the assistant auditor, and Dr. Vladimir Gerard Lim, the new public relations officer. Physician Dr. Juanita Arcat, Fr. Victor Bompat, Physician Dr. Mary Ann Luiz, and Philanthropist Cecilia Caruso were also elected to be a part of the new Board of Directors this year.

The ceremony was held at 2 PM, with Congressman Chatto administering the oath-taking. (PiMO/GMC)
