Bohol Nursing board passers take
oath in first face-to-face ceremony

THREE Hundred nine (309) Boholano board passers took their oath as newly-licensed nurses on Thursday, February 2, at the Bohol Cultural Center in Tagbilaran City.

Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Nursing member Mary Lou Ong administered the oath-taking in the first face-to-face Nursing oath-taking in the province organized by the Bohol Nurses Association- Bohol Chapter, (PRC), and Bohol’s Provincial Government for the passers of the November 2022 nursing board exam.

Dr. Melinda Pausanos, Philippine Nurses Association (PNA), Inc., Bohol Chapter president, welcomed the event’s attendees and congratulated the oath-takers, challenging them to view their profession as a civic duty to Boholanos and help develop a better healthcare system for Bohol. “When you work, you don’t work for the sake of employment but you work in service of the people,” Pausanos said.

Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado gave an inspirational message to the newly-licensed nurses on the importance of passion in working in their profession. “In entering your respective medical journeys, we hope that you will find satisfaction in life and that your passion for service will not wither,” Aumentado said. He added that he hopes the newly-elected nurses will dedicate their practice to fulfill a healthier and safer Bohol.

Along with Governor Aumentado, 1st district Representative Edgar Chatto, 2nd district representative Vanessa Aumentado, Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane Yap, Deans of the College of Nursing from Bohol universities and colleges graced the event. (PiMO/GMC)
